I hope you are having a good day. Hi. I am Vijay Felix. I am the Marketing Head of a brand called ATTITUDE that makes fashion apparels for cricketers all over the world. Chris Gayle is the brand ambassador of Attitude. I get to meet various cricketers and celebrities because of my profile. As you would have realized, I am also a cricket enthusiast and was also a net bowler once.

For the unversed, net bowlers are young cricket fanatics from different academies who are required to bowl at practice matches. A day before the actual match, every team has a practice match and needs some net bowlers. This way, every cricketer gets sufficient practice and these net bowlers also get to display their talent. 

So that was about cricket, my first love and now I will talk about autograph collection, my love after cricket.

On a day when I am feeling low, I just look at my philographic collection and it brings a smile on my face. The trail of events that lead to my interaction with various celebrities runs in front of my eyes and those moments of joy fill my heart.

I have been into philography since 2017 and I have collected 800 autographs so far. These autographs have been signed mostly by crickets and also by a few actors.

I felt my journey in autograph collection found its meaning when I met Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

In 2017, there was the Paytm Series going on and an India and Australia match was scheduled for the next day in my hometown Bangalore at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.

I was privileged to be a net bowler then and I bowled to the Indian Team. Dhoni was also a part of the team then.

After the practice match was over, all the net bowlers including me rushed to meet the team, but to no avail. There was very tight security around the cricketers.

I had an old stump with me used in a different Paytm match. I took the stump out and showed it to MSD and said,

 

“Sir can I please get your autograph?”

 

Mahi looked at me and asked the security personnel to let me in.

Amongst so many net bowlers who were struggling to meet their favorite cricketers, I was the only one who was let in.

I felt elated!

I was with him for about 5 minutes when he signed the stump, let me click a selfi with him and also heard of my passion on philography.

That was the day I realized why they call him CAPTAIN COOL.

This is a famous quote by MSD and it really inspires me to keep fit.
