Q n A with Ruchika Gupta

Born and brought up in Kolkata, Ruchika Gupta is the Executive Director of Sanmarg Pvt. Ltd, an illustrious media house from the east headquartered in Kolkata , she is the  Founder Director of San Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., Kolkata’s Brand Activation Company. A Silver Medalist from Vishwa Bharti University, her passion lies in igniting the spirit of Hindi in today’s youth and bringing women empowerment to the forefront.

Following her passion, she initiated ‘Aparajita - Saluting Womanhood’, a women achievers award that recognises both, veterans and young achievers’. A promulgator of Hindi , she helped spread  the flame of  “Ramawatar Gupt Pratibha Puraskar” across India. The ceremony being the  first and only award ceremony that encourages thea student community to take pride in our national language, Hindi.While working closely with schools and colleges to increase awareness of Hindi language, Ruchika Gupta successfully established Sanmarg’s connect to the youth. She has been instrumental in the execution of the First Filmfare  Awards for East India.

 

Mrs. Gupta was conferred with the “Rotary International Award” for her work with women as well as the “Rotary International District Award 2015”. An awardee of the prestigious “MarudhaKasturiMrignabh” Award, she received the “Aasra” for exemplary contribution in the Field of Media to name a few . A Committee member of ICC, a national governing body member of FICCI FLO for over 6 years , she was the  Chairperson of the FLO Kolkata Chapter 2012-13. A Member of Advisory Council for Asian International School, Howrah, she was also the President, Woman’s wing of the Nagirk Swastha Sangh. An active  trustee of Sanmarg Foundation she handles the CSR initiatives  for the same .

I ALWAYS TRY AND CUSTOMISE IT AS PER THE PERSON BUT I GENERALLY LIKE ADDING A SMILEY AND AN OM

 

2) The craziest thing or object you have ever signed on?

A MURI PACKET

 

3) Do you still receive hand written letters from your fans?

YES I DO AND IT IS A TREASURE

 

4) Do you remember the first autograph you ever sought?

I WAS ALWAYS A BIG ADMIRER OF RICHARD BACH AND DESIRED TO HAVE A SIGNED COPY OF JONATHAN LIVINGSTON SEAGULL

 

5) Which autograph that you own (if any) is very precious to you?

THE BIG B ..ITS MY “KHAZAANA “

 

6) What’s your personal fanboy moment?

WHEN I MET SHRI AMITABH BACHCHAN THAT TOO VERY PRIVATELY .

 

7) Somebody’s autograph which you wish to have?

I SAY THIS WITH GREAT HUMILITY THAT I WISH MY OWN AUTOGRAPH IS PRECIOUS TO ME .

 

8) Do you think autograph seeking and collecting is fading away?                                                                                                                                                             

PEOPLE TODAY ARE MORE CONSCIOUS THAN BEFORE BUT I FEEL COLLECTING AUTOGRAPHS IS    INSPIRATIONAL !
