Hello, I am Muskaan Sahal. I am a student of BMS 2nd year at St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata. I am a creative person and I love acting. It brings me immense happiness to say that my debut in acting happened last year with DARMIYAAN!

First of all I want to thank all of you for showering so much love on my video. It has completed 1 entire year and everything about it still remains so fresh in my mind. I very clearly remember when we were shooting for it in near Changu Lake and Teesta River in Sikkim. We had so much fun.

For all of us who were connected with Darmiyaan, it has been such a respite in the lockdown last year. I wasn’t expecting the video to do so well and definitely wasn’t expecting it to be appreciated so much.

After Darmiyaan, people have started recognizing my acting abilities. I have been getting several offers and there is a wide range of options to choose from.

Although I loved my character of the girl next door in Darmiyaan, now I would like to do something different. I don’t have any particular character in mind, but something that is well written and established is what I am looking for.

A lot of people find it difficult to balance their studies with their passion but I am lucky that I don’t have to face this. Academically I have always been strong and I am sure I can handle my acting assignments along with my studies. I would also like to be an entrepreneur someday.

With the release of Darmiyaan, along with appreciation and offers, I also experienced something that had never happened before 2020.

I got the AWARD FOR THE BEST EMERGING ACTRESS at Wow Excellence Awards Season 2.

Aparajita Sammaan Season 2 also honored me with the Award for the Best Emerging Actress.

Darmiyaan was my debut into acting and to get an Award right at the onset was very encouraging and overwhelming.

As I got down the stage, there were so many people who came running and wanted to click a picture with me and wanted my autograph. That was the moment I realized that people around me look up to me now.

I want to thank my mother for supporting me to pursue my passion.

I have an appeal to all children and parents.

I understand what it means to have a passion and I also understand the importance of studies. So I want to tell all my friends who want to follow their passion to first find all the details about what you want to do - how to go about it, does it involve a course, what is the monetary requirement etc.

When you approach your parents with all these details, then your parents also understand how much you want to go ahead with your passion. At the same time, do not ignore your studies for your passion.

I also request all the parents to keep into consideration what your child wants to follow professionally.

I would like to dedicate both my Awards to my mother who has been my support system.
